Sal on Timeless Isle w/ Turtle Hat & Doing the Jumping Columns Quiz!
Silly Turtleshell Hat |
aw! I remember coming here with Vier, my first time on Timeless Isle! |
[Note: 'twas bittersweet being on Timeless Isle without Vier :( I did laugh though when Sal received the turtle shell hat. Early in my WoW days, the GM of our old guild was bugging Vier about how ridiculous she looked with her turtle shell hat. I had to agree, they are some butt-ugly hats! I also remember being in awe of Vier tightrope walking as amount with me on her back to earn Sushel the "Extreme Treasure Hunter" achievement. You can read about it here.]

Note to self: Obtain a Kite Mount! |
Sushel, crafted a Sky Golem [The whole reason we started this farming adventure in Halfhill was to create this mount so Seely could ride it around while Herbing. You stay mounted on this instead of being dismounted to collect an herb and having to re-mount again every time.
Sky Golem Mount |
Nor smelts the ore, sends the Trillium Bars and Half the Ghost Iron Bars to Seely, and the rest of the Ghost Iron Bars to Sushel.
Seely uses the Trillium Bars and Spirits of Harmony to Transmute Living Steel.
Sushel uses the Ghost Iron Bars to craft Jard's something-something. And then uses those and the Living Steel to craft the mount, and now two pets, the Warbot and the Rascal Bot.
Goofiest mount to fly. Swerves, bobs, and twists all over the place. |

Children's Week World Event
Children's Week Guide
For the Children
This achievement is awarded upon completion of every one of the Children's Week achievements except Veteran Nanny.
This achievement awards the player title 'Matron' or 'Patron' (depending on character gender).
Is a requirement towards completion of What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been which rewards the beautiful Reins of the Violet Proto-Drake.

The Bane of my existence. The PvP portion of the Children's Week achievements and the hardest part of completing What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been. Straight from the Guide;
Players shooting for What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been will be wanting to check this holiday off their list. Children's Week brings the meta's most hated achievement: School of Hard Knocks. Wowhead has a short and sweet guide to help you get this done with the minimum of fuss.
This guide assumes you have little or no PvP experience, and we've got tips for avoiding PvP if you're a die-hard PvE-focused player who just wants to get this done and never enter a Battleground again.School of Hard Knocks
This is one of the trickier Children's Week achievements. For this achievement, you must complete each of these four objectives in PVP battlegrounds while your orphan is out:
- Capture the flag in Eye of the Storm
- Assault a tower in Alterac Valley
- Assault a flag in Arathi Basin
We have a guide just on how to complete School of Hard Knocks as well.
- Return a fallen flag in Warsong Gulch
---------------------------------------------Ana graciously volunteered to take me into the four battlegrounds.
Lots of Mount Displays while waiting for battleground call ups.

I only managed to complete 2 of the 4 PvP battlegrounds before I became completely overwhelmed, lost my mind and quit. [for this year at least]

For Ana: The story of why I have a Hunter I can barely play.
"I have to admit, although I love the pets and agility of the hunter class, I'm slow to get into their rapid rotation style of play. I have trouble setting the Hunter's Mark before doing anything else and by then, it's usually game over! I admire Vier's agility and elegance with her bow, Sushi just seems a tad heavy and clumsy [sorry Sushe] with her big stomper boots and loud gun."
